BERU India has a combined plant and sales office located conveniently in the heart of Pune City around where its major customers are situated. The company is just 160 kms from Mumbai, the business capital of India and about 130 kms from International Seaport.

The premise is divided into the corporate office

and the manufacturing unit. At present the unit manufactures sheathed Glow Plugs of 4mm, 5mm & 6mm Heating Pins. The plant is equipped with highly sophisticated manufacturing & quality equipments. The production line is highly automated. The current single shift capacity of the plant is 1.2 million
Glow Plugs. The plant is TS 16949 certified by TUV.

BERU India is today the first and probably the only manufacturer of Grid Heaters in India. The company has developed this unique product as a solution to cold starting and emission problems that the Engine manufacturers are facing today in the DI Diesel Engines. The company has currently a single line for the manufacture of Grid Heaters and has a capacity to produce 50,000 Grid Heaters per annum.

The third production line is that for Glow Plug Controllers (Timers or Glow Duration Units). These are not the conventional Glow Plug Timers but micro-controller based electronic units. The Company has invested in inhouse development of Timer Software and micro-controller programming. The current line has a capacity to assemble 50,000 Timers annually.
