As the name suggests, these are Glow Plugs which heatup in 2 or less seconds. These are part of the Instant Start System which comprises of an Electronic Control Unit and Sensor as well.Hence the diesel engines can be started almost as quickly as a petrol engine.

BERU has successfully incorporated pressure sensor within the Glow Plug. With this , real time and accurate data(pressure) of the combustion chamber can be fed to the engine control unit .This also eliminates the need for additional provision for sensor in the cylinder head design.
